Buyer's guide
Zircon
Zircon is a mineral, not cubic zirconia. A well-cut stone has bright sparkle plus flashes of color, in blue, honey tones and more.

Before the cut
From rough stone to custom jewelry
Zircon rough hides brilliance that rivals diamond once it is cut. We set its rainbow of colors into bright, lively pieces. Tell us if zircon caught your eye and we will start your design.
What to look for
Color
Blue is popular. Colorless, yellow, orange, red and brown stones offer other directions.
Clarity
Look for an eye-clean face. Strong doubling of facet edges is part of zircon's character.
Treatment
Heat commonly produces blue or colorless zircon. Ask for treatment disclosure with your stone.
Care
Zircon can chip along facet edges. Protective settings help. Clean with warm soapy water, not steam or ultrasound.
