Ametrine
Ametrine brings amethyst purple plus citrine yellow together in one crystal. A thoughtful cut makes the contrast the heart of the design.

Before the cut
From rough stone to custom jewelry
Ametrine forms when amethyst and citrine grow in one crystal. We design two-tone pieces that show both colors at once. Tell us if ametrine caught your eye and we will start your design.
What to look for
Color
Look for a pleasing balance of purple plus yellow, with a clear contrast between the zones.
Clarity
Fine faceted ametrine is usually eye clean. A clear face lets both colors shine.
Cut
An emerald cut often displays both colors. Designer cuts can play with the boundary between them.
Origin
The Anahí mine in Bolivia is the best-known commercial source. Ask for identification plus treatment disclosure.
