Jade
Jade names two different materials: jadeite plus nephrite. Fine jadeite combines rich color, a smooth texture and a gentle glow from within.

Jade begins as boulders of stone so tough that ancient hands carved it. We set fine green jade into pieces made to be worn every day. Tell us if jade caught your eye and we will start your design.
What to look for
Color
Vivid green jadeite is highly prized. Lavender, white and other colors have their own appeal.
Transparency
Light passing through a jadeite cabochon gives it depth. Color plus translucency matter together.
Texture
Fine, even texture takes a beautiful polish. Jade is tough, but a hard knock can still damage it.
Treatment
Bleaching, polymer filling and dye affect value. Ask for a report that identifies the material plus any treatment.
